Purple Gallinule in Pickerel Weed. I noticed that the Purple Gallinule likes to nibble on the flower of the pickerel weed and also noticed them nibbling on the flower of the fire flag plants. The flower shoots of the fire flag are loaded with bugs so the gallinule could get his veggies and protein in the same spot!! The irridescent colors of this less than common bird are marvelous in the sunlight!
