Tri-color Heron (Louisiana Heron) After Green Heron Eggs:
When I encountered this scene I thought the baby blue eggs belonged to the Tri-Color and that the Green Heron screaming from a nearby branch was trying to get at the Tri-colors eggs. I thought the Tri-color was defending the nest. When I returned to the scene later in the day, I found I had it reversed.
